Mike's First Kenai River Rainbow Trout Experience

Fishing the Kenai River for Big Rainbow Trout in South Central Alaska has to be the most spectacular and amazing thing I have ever done.

The beauty and fisheries surpass any that I have seen. In fact since I got a taste of Alaska 5 years ago I have not been able to leave on my own will.

This was a sweet rainbow caught by one of my longtime friends Mike Tieman out of Arizona, formally a resident of Wisconsin where we met. This male was caught on August 24th, 2006 towards the end of the day. What a way to leave the Kenai Peninsula!
